Every electrical product has certain safety precautions that one has to follow especially when children are around. The most important is avoiding risk of electrocution. Read some of the important Nuwave cooktop instructions before using the appliance that is described below

•    Read the instructions manual and warning tips before using
•    Unplug any appliance that has fallen into water and is wet.
•    Keep children away from the appliances. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose.
•    Do not use damaged cord or plug. Unplug by pulling the plug. Do not pull on the cord.
•    When you are using the appliance, keep a watch on it. Don’t leave it unattended
•    Use the handles when you have to lift the dome from the base
•    Keep your face away from the dome to avoid the steam that escapes.
•    Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handles only.

There are many more such guidelines that you have to read and follow. The details can be found in the instructions manual that is given with the appliance.
General instructions:

•    Plug carefully and ensure the cord is not in touch with any hot object.
•    Liner pan should not be put on the burner directly.
•    Use metal dishes, pans and foils can be used in the Nuwave oven.
•    The power head and dome need to be locked for the assembly to be easily lifted.

Cooking instructions: Use only the handles to lift domes and power heads. Use oven mitts to remove liner pan while it is still hot. For best results follow all the time, power and cooking rack height instructions strictly as given in the cooking chart and recipe book. You will find all minute details in the manuals that are given to you at the time of purchase.

Cleaning instructions:  Unplug the appliance. You can wash with mild soap all the parts except for the power head and clean them dry with a towel. You could wash the parts except for the power head in the dishwasher too. Do not use the dryer part here. Use dry towel or cloth for drying.

Do remember to read all the Nuwave cooktop instructions given in the manual or recipe books before you start using the appliance for safety and long lasting functioning.

Question: Can I leave the cooktop plugged in all the time? (Except when washing it of course.)
